Motorhead won't be playing quite as many U.S. shows as originally planned this spring.
Loudwire.com says the group has dropped out of a number of events under the "World's Loudest Month" banner. Motorhead is no longer on board for the Carolina Rebellion, which is set for Charlotte, North Carolina on May 3rd and 4th; or Rock on the Range, taking place in Columbus, Ohio from May 16th through the 18th. The band is also out of the lineup for Rocklahoma in Pryor, Oklahoma on May 23rd, 24th, and 25th, and the Welcome To Rockville festival in Jacksonville, Florida on April 26th and 27th.
Motorhead hasn't offered an explanation for canceling the dates. The group is still coming to the U.S this spring. They're slated to play a number of shows in the Western U.S. next month, including Coachella in Indio, California on April 13th and 20th.
Festival organizers say Motorhead's cancellation was beyond their control, and that they're lining up other acts as replacements.
