Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Motorcycle Girl

In 2011, a new talent hit the motorcycle racing world, the likes of which had rarely been seen before. A woman, Shelina Moreda, strapped on a helmet and zipped up her leather riding suit and went racing. Since then she has been opening up motorcycling to a demographic that hasn’t traditionally been the focus of motorcycling. However, if she keeps going at this pace, men may need to make way, because the women are ready to ride!

Move Over Maybelline! It Is Easy, Breezy, Beautiful Motorcycle Girl

She won the top spot in the Women’s Championship race in Qatar, she was the first woman to race a motorcycle at Indy, and she was the first woman to race the Zhuhai International Circuit in China. In only 6 years Shelina Moreda has had a career full of firsts, and she doesn’t want the buck to stop at her.

In her home state of California, Moreda runs a dirtbike bootcamp for girls. Her riding program is meant to teach confidence to women who want to be riders and racers, and it’s off to a great start. According to Moreda’s website, SheZRacing, Moreda has already trained 310 girls at her various camps, many of which were first time riders. Now she’s hoping to expand her reach and mentor even more girls.

On October 5th, Shelina announced on her Instagram that she had been chosen as one of the new CoverGirls. This company is known worldwide for the makeup products it sells, and for empowering women to do more in the world. Now the company has added a world class American racer to their line up, and only weeks after another woman managed to shake the foundations of the motorcycle racing world.

Morena says she wants to use this modeling opportunity to not only to inspire girls, but to also get them riding motorcycles. Do you think she’ll accomplish that goal? Lately, more women have been riding motorcycles all over the U.S., and the attorneys who ride at Metier Law Firm suspect that there may be even more coming to the motorcycling community.
