1985 - David Crosby turns himself in to the FBI and begins serving time for drug and firearms possession.

1981 - Steve Perry brings up members of the 49ers football team who are in the audience and introduces them as "the next Super Bowl champions." at a Journey concert in San Francisco.

1976 - Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley is nearly electrocuted when he grabs a metal railing on the poorly wired set, completing a circuit that sends current through his body, at a show in Lakeland, Florida,

1974 - Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor leaves the band.

1970 - Jim Morrison performs live for the last time at a Doors concert in New Orleans. The singer dies on July 3, 1971.

1967 - A London Appeals Court quashes the 9-month sentence The Rolling Stones' Brian Jones had received for marijuana possession after hearing from psychiatrists who diagnose him with suicidal tendencies.

1966 - Pink Floyd perform their first concert, for the Oxfam Benefit at London's Royal Albert Hall.
