2018 - The Eagles Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is certified by the RIAA at 38 million units. It made it the best-selling album of all time in America.

2012 - Green Day partnered with smash hit video game "Angry Birds."

2003 -  Great White was fined $7,000 for failing to protect employees from fire hazards during the February 20 fire and OSHA fined Derco LLC, which operated The Station club, $85,200 for one "willful" violation and six serious violations related to the fire that killed 100 and injured almost 200. 

2001 -  Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins was admitted to a hospital after drug overdose and the remaining dates of the band's European tour was canceled.

2000 - Bon Jovi played the last concert to be held at the historic Wembley stadium before its demolition. 

1992 - Sting marries Trudie Styler at their estate in Wiltshire, England. 

1988 - Two fans are killed during a set by Guns N' Roses at the Monsters Of Rock festival at Castle Donington, England. With the ground wet and a record crowd of 107,000 at the festival, the surge of bodies during the set causes the two fans to be trampled or crushed to death.

1967 - The New York Times reports on a pioneering method of noise reduction created by Dolby Labs which makes home recording on blank cassette tapes possible.

1949 - Bassist/vocalist Phil Lynott (of Thin Lizzy) is born in West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England.

1948 - Robert Plant is born in West Bromwich, West Midlands, England.

1920 - In Detroit, what will become WWJ (950 AM) becomes the first radio station in America to start broadcasting.
