2015 - When the Westboro Baptist Church, famous for their anti-gay demonstrations, stage a protest before a Foo Fighters concert in Kansas City, the band responds by driving a truck in front of the demonstrators and blasted them with Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

2011 - Rod Stewart's becomes a grandfather for the first time.

2005 - Electronic music pioneer Robert Moog, who invented the Moog synthesizer, dies at the age of 71 of a brain tumor.

1997 - At a press conference in the San Francisco Hard Rock Cafe, Carlos Santana unveiled a limited-edition t-shirt bearing his artwork.

1996 -  Former Talking Heads lead singer David Byrne sued to prevent the rest of the group from touring as "The Heads." The suit was settled out of court. 

1995 - R.E.M. sued Hershey Foods, claiming the company exploited its name when it ran a "Kit Kat - R.E.M. Concert" sweepstakes in Hershey candy bars. 

The suit was eventually dropped.
