In 1983, he was drafted in the 12th round (which doesn't exist anymore). After that, Karl Mecklenburg learned and played all 7 front defensive positions and finally settled into linebacker in the 10th game of his 3rd year… against the hated Raiders. He became a team captain, 6X Pro-Bowler, Ring of Famer & Pro Football Hall of Fame semi-finalist. He also lost 3 Super Bowls and suffered multiple concussions.
