What Did You Do PPIHC Weekend?
The attorneys who ride here at the Metier Law Firm, kicked off Pikes Peak racing weekend a full week in advance. That’s because our Colorado Law Tigers helped sponsor the First Annual Pikes Peak Bike Week at the Pikes Peak International Raceway from June 16th to June 25th.
Coca-Cola and Budweiser joined us in sponsoring this incredible extravaganza, where music groups like Midland and Lynyrd Skynyrd performed. There were also several bike rides as well as a motorcycle show where bike builders got to show off their hard work. But this wasn’t the only motorcycle event we participated in over the week.
We were also sponsors for the Tejon Street Bike Fest on Sunday. This festival has a 17-year history here in Colorado. This one day rally featured 6035 and Ryan Chrys & The Rough Cuts, as well as a bikini contest, tattoo fest and a bike show. This bike show was open to the public so many locals got to ride up and show off their pride and joy. It was a fun party, and if you were lucky, you also caught the live stream of the Pike Peak International Hill Climb.
This was the first year the event was broadcast live, and only seats along the fabled 12-mile stretch of 156 turns could top it. Barring some sort of future disaster, the company working with PPIHC has a ten-year contract to provide live coverage.
