Attorney Tom Metier of The Metier Law Firm and Law Tigers made a recent appearance on The Rick Lewis Morning Show to catch up and discuss some recent trials he has been involved in. Tom discusses his focus on clients that have been seriously injured in Colorado, as well as the upcoming riding season. He believes the season is going to be a good one; motorcyclists have already begun to take over Colorado roads, but due to the dry and relatively mild winter, there have already been a number of serious motorcycle accidents.
Motorcyclists are much more likely to be injured in accidents as compared to drivers of cars. This is because of the relative lack of protection offered to motorcyclists. It is said by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety that motorcyclists are four times more likely to die in accidents compared to drivers of other types of vehicles.
In the audio stream, Tom also discusses his new motorcycle, a case involving a sexual assault and the #MeToo movement, the impact of post-traumatic stress disorder in victims of injury and crime, the O.J. Simpson case and more.
